When do I need to complete my contractor continuing education in Georgia?

Renewal applicants with a basic residential license must complete three hours of acceptable CE each year. Those with a residential light commercial need six hours of CE each year. The state classifies a year as July 1 through June 30.

How do I prove I’ve completed my Required CE?

During the online renewal, you will be required to provide an affirmative response under oath that all applicable continuing education requirements have been met.

What CE records should I keep?

The following records must be maintained by both the school and licensee for two years and must be submitted to the Professional Licensing Boards Division (The Board) upon request.

  • The school conducting the course
  • The location of course
  • The title/description of course
  • The course outline
