Each state has its own process for renewing licenses. In some cases, renewal requires mailing in a form or visiting a state office in person, while other states allow the process to be completed online.
Many states also mandate continuing education as part of the renewal process, with specific requirements for total hours, subject matter and how the state must receive proof of completion.
To ensure compliance, some states conduct random audits to verify that licensees have met their education requirements. Others require license holders to submit certificates of completion along with their renewal applications. Additionally, some states make education providers report completed hours directly to the state.
For states that allow us to report on behalf of students, we regularly submit completed hours —typically within five (5) business days. However, the time it takes for the state's system to update may vary.
The reporting methods differ by state; some require us to email completion records, while others permit direct uploads into their system. We prioritize accuracy in state reporting and have a dedicated team focused on ensuring all education hours are properly submitted.
For states where individuals must report their own hours, our courses provide downloadable and printable certificates of completion, verifying the number of education hours earned.
